Economic Impact Payments

The Treasury Department, the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) have provided direct relief payments to support Americans facing financial hardships.


Unemployment Compensation

Federal assistance programs have been extended to help individuals who have lost work due to economic downturns and unforeseen circumstances. Some federal taxes on unemployment benefits have also been waived to ease financial burdens.
 

Child Tax Credit

The government has increased the Child Tax Credit and expanded its coverage to better assist families who care for children.

 

EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE

The Emergency Rental Assistance program makes funding available to government entities to assist households that are unable to pay rent or utilities.
